About HotelReality
HotelReality is an independent project focused on verifying whether what hotels promise actually matches what guests can observe in reality.
Our evaluations are based on publicly available information—primarily official hotel websites—and direct, real-world observation.
We do not collect opinions, ratings, or user reviews.
The project was created in response to a growing gap between hotel communication and actual guest experience.
Today, hotel websites often present idealized representations through images, claims, and positioning statements.
HotelReality exists to verify the coherence between those declared promises and what is objectively observable on site.
HotelReality does not judge hotels.
It does not assign scores or rankings.
It does not compare hotels against one another.
Each evaluation is a structured, evidence-based analysis focused exclusively on alignment:
what is promised versus what is observed.
Evaluations may originate independently, following direct stays as a paying guest, or through documented observation of the hotel’s public communication and physical offering.
No permissions are requested to perform an evaluation.
All analyses are conducted within the boundaries of factual observation, public information, and editorial independence.
HotelReality is designed to serve two audiences simultaneously:
- Guests, who benefit from clearer, more reliable expectations.
- Hotels, which gain an external, structured perspective on how effectively their communication reflects reality.
In both cases, the goal is transparency—not judgment.
HotelReality verifies alignment.
Nothing more. Nothing less.
